4 Reasons Our Lenormand Deck is Special

We're happy to officially announce that we're working on a special deck called Fantastical Felines (working title), our very first Lenormand deck of cards. What makes this deck special? There's a few reasons.

1, A change of direction in our art. If you've looked over the illustrations we've created; King's Journey Tarot, Simply Deep Tarot, Chinese Propaganda Art Tarot and the Twisted Tarot Tales, you'll see that there's in excess of a few hundred hand drawn illustration. It's what i'm known for. Yet I am not opposed to change. For our very first Lenormand, we've decided to put together a more photo realistic deck of cards. My co creator Christine brings together the imagery and we both bring it to life to create the cute little scenes of cats interacting with other animals. She has been inspired by Susan Herbert's "cat people" and while Herbert's cats are hand drawn, Christine wanted to see what a more photo realistic approach would look like.

2, People are inspired to Learn Lenormand due to our deck. Interestingly enough, people have actually written to us saying that they plan on learning the Lenormand system of reading based on our cards.

3, We use real pets that people own. One thing we've always enjoyed about creating our card decks is that we share the journey, the experience, with those in the tarot community. (or at least our little part of the community). We feel that by combining real life pets into the scenery, we're giving a little back to our supporters. If you have any pets you would like to see star in some of our cards, send good quality pictures of your pets (can be cats, dogs, fish, mice, anything will be taken into consideration. It's a Lenormand after all ) to j_battersby@hotmail.com

4, Includes Fairy Tales and Children's Stories.  Christine loves to combine recognisable themes and imagery in her work as can be seen in her Twisted Tarot Tales which featured everything from pulp back horror to old radio shows. In our Fantastical Lenormand, Christine introduces Pinocchio in our "Fox" card, and a Puss in Boots themed imagery in her "Mice" card

Hope you have a great day and thanks for reading!
