The Spring Waite
The winter months have been so dark that we’re looking forward to the lovely spring weather. We’ve picked back up working on our “Spring Waite” (working title) which so far has a nice flowery theme running through it with butterflies, birds and rainbows. Stylistically I feel it has a Groovy Waite vibe to it, which, I think, is a good thing. That’s a deck that has been received really well in its various incarnations.
Most of the updates will be shared over on our Instagram page, and occasionally in the newsletter.
This is an ongoing project that we’ve picked up again at the beginning of the year, and while optimistic, our plan will be to have all the artworks ready for the printer at least for spring.

tAROT PINS
We’re really excited to share our first ever Tarot themed pin. It’s based on our Two of Pentacles card from the Groovy Waite. It’s been months in the making, but finally we have it in our studio. I am really impressed with the craftsmanship in these pins, especially the detail in the line work. The colors too, are very spot on when compared to the card the pin is based on.
As of this moment, it is not available in store. We’re still trying to weigh up the best way to make them available as we currently do not have a large stock. I have no doubt that when they finally reach our store, they will be an instant hit (or perhaps that’s just me because I’m really impressed. I’ve never seen one of my illustrations transformed into a wearable pin before lol) |
key chains
We’re currently mulling over the idea of having a few key chains that could be added as an option at the checkout on qualifying orders. These will at present not be Tarot related (though some possibly may be in future). Currently we have Tommy, Chuckie and Angelica from the Rugrats, followed by the Smurfs. They are currently very limited in number, so we’re still trying to work out the details of how best to represent them on our site. We’ll eventually introduce it as a trial run, and if it takes off, we’ll expand the idea.
We’re always looking for new exciting ideas for our store, and Christine really liked the key chain idea.
If it’s something that our customers express interest in and the idea takes off, we could perhaps feature a new collectible key chain each month. Early days!
