"A King’s Journey Tarot has quickly become one of my favorite decks and I can safely say that I will enjoy many years to come reading and learning with it. I would like to send my thanks to Chanel Bayless and James Battersby for creating such a treasure" - Koneta Bailey. To Read Full review click here

THE HISTORY BEHIND KING'S JOURNEY
I began sketching a King's Journey Tarot in 2009, and I believe it was finished around sometime in 2010 (although my memory fails me with specific dates). My co creator at the time, Chanel Bayless, asked me to design many of the characters, including the main character which can be seen throughout the whole deck. In fact aside from the courts, there are few cards he doesn't appear in. With over 94 cards, he appears in about 73 of them*. I've never seen a concept like this in Tarot before where the Fool becomes the main character throughout the whole deck of cards. This was a great concept by Chanel Bayless and I really think that it's the one thing that sets it apart from other decks.
The deck was originally presented as a borderless, nameless and numberless deck of cards and up until recently this was how the deck was sold. The deck was originally created with the idea that the deck would be used so much that one would not need names and numbers to understand what each card represented. It's a nice idea, and certainly some people have learned the cards this way, but many who buy our decks are collectors and use multiple decks within weeks, even days of each other. At the request of one customer, I went about creating a little chart to identify the cards.
For those who have purchased the now retired nameless and numberless version here is a specially created PDF guide which you can print to assist your readings. I decided that to make the deck more accessible to the casual user, I would eventually retire the nameless and numberless aspect of the deck, but the borderless feature still remains. the borderless deck is now sold with names on each card. Some imagery strays quite far from the typical Rider Waite deck and so I really feel that this will be a much more useful way of using the cards.
