The J.K (Jupiter King) 1989 Version (REVISED)

from US$63.00

The J.K (Jupiter King) 1989 Version

Just like the 1975 reprint, our 1989 version is VERY limited in stock.

This is a reprint of the second release of the J.K Tarot, originally released in 1989. In this reprint, about six months worth of work has gone into touching up the cards in terms of color and the line art, restoring the art to it's former glory.

For those wondering what the difference is between the 1975 version and the 1989, the images are both the same, but the 1989 version features touched up, brighter colors, and more clearly defined features, like faces etc. In the 1989 version the colors in the background are more uniform in color.

This deck is a very unique take on the Waite, with vivid colors  and some of the characters facing the opposite position possibly in line with the fact the Japanese read books from what we would perceive in the west as "back to front".

With originals fetching upwards of £400 (over $500 U.S) we wanted to reprint this deck and make it more affordable. Obtaining permission from the original author, we managed a highly successful indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. While copies are very limited, we have them for sale here for the very first time!

Does not come with book but a rough translation can be found here with the password "jupiter" (all small letters) to access.

Disclaimer . These decks are based on our vintage copies.

The author's publisher lost the original files.

As such there are imperfections mainly caused by aging. They also used different printing technology back then.

In the revised edition there is slight yellowing to the border on some of the cards.

We did not notice this because it is slight.

It is not a misprint or done on purpose.

We did not alter the scan itself.
