These cards are bridge sized (2.25 x 3.5 inches) just like the originals, making for a comfortable size for shuffling or bridging (psst, it's ok, this is just a replica after all, it is ok to bridge them!). The card stock is 300gsm, casino quality.
This is a replica of the well known Thomson Leng Tarot. You probably don't know too many people who own this beauty, because good quality replicas are so few and far between or insanely expensive. (which is understandable since any surviving, complete, Thomson Leng originals are out of most collector's price range.)
We have carefully, painstakingly, restored, to the very best of our ability, the Thomson Leng Tarot and have now released a very small batch to the public. I felt that it would be good to open up this awesome deck to the general public, to let others able to enjoy the deck in the modern day. These decks are printed on a print on demand basis, and I have decided to take a minimal profit from each deck, only to cover the initial cost of purchasing the original Thomson Leng deck. I dedicate the many months of work to you, for free, my faithful friends and customers, like most all of my work.
A little about the restoration,
At Tarot collectibles, we try to create the most original, most beautifully drawn Tarot decks in the modern day, but I felt that the site would not be complete if we did not have at least one collectible Tarot deck from the past. We chose the Thomson Leng. There is something really special about it.
Some years ago we invested in the cleanest, most preserved copy I could find of this amazing deck, which was a considerable sum, but we felt that this was the best way to create the most accurate replica of the deck.
This has been my first venture into deck restoration, but as you will see in the video coming soon, I have restored this work of art to the point that it's very close to the original. Many days, weeks and months have been dedicated to making sure that the imagery is as close to the original as is possible.
I am convinced that you will not find it for sale for less than what you'll find it here. There are very few good quality replica decks available out there as it is difficult to find a complete, original Thomson Leng deck in order to replicate, but even so; replicating this deck has taken the best part of a year. Such works cannot be rushed!
Included with this deck are the original Tarot Spreads Included with the Thomson Leng; The Eastern Cross Method, The Lovers Guide, the Mystic Sevens and the Royal Road to Life. It is not common to find surviving Thomson Leng decks with fully intact books included, but we invested carefully. I have faithfully scanned the booklet and decided to put this into PDF form. The booklet was a little fragile, so I handled it very carefully.
